SCHOOL OPENS FOR CHILDREN ON
TUESDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER
Parent Mail
ParentMail helps make life just that little bit easier Mums and Dads can also share an account so both can be kept up-to-date with everything that’s going on in their children’s lives.
You can use your ParentMail account from your computer or by using the free mobile phone App where you can:
· Receive text and email messages from school,
· Pay for items
· Authorise trips
· Keep up-to-date with the school calendar
You will all have received a letter regarding setting up the account for yourself if you so wish. When you do set up your account we will be able to send everything to you electronically either by text or email which will be more efficient for you In terms of receiving information.
Of course if you do not have access to a computer or mobile phone we will continue to send letters out on paper. Every reply that we get is going in to a draw to win a £50 voucher for Toys R Us. This will be drawn at the end of this term.
Classes for September & New Curriculum
From September children will all be grouped in to mixed age classes which will enable us to ensure that all children are able to access the same Curriculum programme over a two year period.
( Year1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6)
This will also enable us to group the children in different ways at different times of the year where we feel groups or individuals need more support to make the progress that they should. This may be to stretch the more able learners or to support those who are struggling to reach the expected level for their age.
We have been working hard this term to remodel our curriculum. Teachers have planned together with an external consultant to develop a broad and rich curriculum using the International Primary Curriculum.
Over the year they will continue to plan closely together to ensure that all children have equal access to the full curriculum range for the levels they are working at.
More information about the new curriculum will be available from September on the Website . This will include the Topics that will be taught for each two year phase.
At the start of each topic the teacher will send out a letter to you telling you what the children will be studying for that block of time.
More information will be given to you at the ‘Meet the teacher’ event on September 12th .
